The LG V30 smartphone is officially unveiled

The new smartphone LG V30 with its large screen OLED without borders is officially presented and will also be marketed in Europe.

 
As expected, LG is taking advantage of IFA 2017 in Berlin to officially present its new high-end V-series smartphone. The LG V30 becomes the new reference of the South Korean manufacturer after the LG G6 of the beginning of the year, and Takes over the LG V20.

The LG V30 is supposed to be positioned in the same segment as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and a priori the Apple iPhone 8. It adopts a 6-inch OLED display with FullVision display at 18: 9 ratio. A QHD + resolution of 2880 x 1400 pixels. A 6-inch borderless smartphone with Gorilla Glass 5 protection for only 7.3 mm thick and a weight of 158 g.



 Almost logically, the LG V30 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octocore SoC, backed by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space expandable by microSD card. Note the announcement of a LG V30 + with 128 GB of storage.

The smartphone offers a dual photo sensor at the rear 16 + 13 megapixels. The first has an aperture f / 1.6 and a glass lens, which is unprecedented in the genre and will capture more light than an aperture f / 1.8. The second is wide angle with an aperture f / 1.9. At the front, it's a 5-megapixel module.

 In terms of audio, the LG V30 retains a 3.5 mm jack and incorporates a 32-bit DAC Hi-Fi Quad with digital filters and predefined sound. It supports Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology for Hi-Res audio streaming. B & O Play headphones will be delivered with the smartphone.

The LG V30 runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat (probably upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo). Daydream support (Google Virtual Reality Platform) is part of, and the operation of the Google Assistant with specific promised capabilities.



With its 3300 mAh battery, IP68 waterproof, Bluetooth 5 connectivity and wireless charging, the LG V30 will be launched on Sept. 21 in South Korea. Subsequent marketing in other markets including Europe is announced. The price was not disclosed.
