The Android One initiative, which allows entry or mid-range smartphones to enjoy a pure Android interface and regular updates, is expected to gain momentum in the coming months.

After the announcement of the Xiaomi Mi A1 and maybe before a Moto X4 in Android One version, it will probably also depend on the manufacturer HTC to propose a model.

On Twitter, @LlabTooFeR says that HTC will propose a variation of its model HTC U11 Life (code name HTC Ocean Life) in Android version One. Its particularity will be not to offer most of the usual HTC dedicated applications normally preinstalled and to offer Android 8.0 Oreo with a minimalist overlay HTC Sense 9.0_A1.

It indicates that the model should still retain certain features such as Edge Sense (the interface activated when the smartphone slices are under pressure), USonic, HTC Zoe and the HTC Camera application. @evleaks took the opportunity to unveil a press release of the HTC U11 Life which, for the record, has not yet been officially announced.

The HTC U11 Life should offer a 5.2-inch Full HD display and a SoC SnapDragon 630, with a 16-megapixel photo sensor at the back. He will propose the particularity of the series HTC U of a sensitivity to the pressure of the slices with Edge Sense.
