Porsche Mission E: a first idea of the price of its first all-electric vehicle

The first fully electric Porsche should maintain an "affordable" price for the luxury brand, the level of the Panamera.

After resisting the tendency for luxury brands to turn towards the electric sector, Porsche has finally taken the step, a little pushed by the dieselgate touching the full head of its parent company Volkswagen, and unveiled in 2016 the concept Porsche Mission E being the basis of a first production vehicle by the end of the decade.

One might think that this first realization in a new segment would be proposed at a high price but the CEO of Porsche Oliver Blume indicated that the vehicle would remain rather affordable according to the price schedule of the manufacturer.

The Porsche Mission E should indeed be at the level of the price of a Porsche Panamera, that is to say a little less than 100 000 €. The final price should be significantly higher by adding the options, while remaining in a price range that would compete with Tesla's electric vehicles.

The Porsche Mission E promises an autonomy of approximately 500 kilometers in NEDC cycle and offers an acceleration 0-100 km / h in 3.5 seconds. As with Tesla vehicles, this model should allow software modifications, configuration releases and updates via the air.

The other big expectation is the battery charging system which should normally allow 80% charge in only 15 minutes.
