As expected, Apple renews its Apple TV box by integrating an Apple SoC Apple A10X and bringing 4K compatibility!
It
was an announcement expected for this September 12th keynote: Apple has
renewed its Apple TV box to make it more powerful and add compatibility
with 4K content.
Featuring a powerful Apple A10X processor (the latest generation iPad Pro), the Apple TV 4K retains the same design as previous versions but is therefore 4K and HDR compatible for optimal picture quality.
Featuring the new version of tvOS, Apple TV will offer a 4K movie offer from major studios at the same rate as the current HD versions, while movies purchased with previous models will automatically migrate to 4K quality whenever possible.
The Apple TV 4K will be
offered at $ 179 with 32GB of storage or $ 199 with 64GB of storage,
while the Apple TV not 4K and with 32GB of storage will open the range
at $ 149.
Again, it will be possible to order the new gadget as of September 15, for availability on September 22.
