The Cupertino firm is inevitably awaited on its iPhone announcements during this September 12 keynote and it announced as planned the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus that will replace the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus 2016, without going through the box of iPhone 7S models.

Both models exchange their metal shell for reinforced glass with aluminum strapping, always protected against splashing and dust infiltrations.

On board, it is now an Apple A11 "bionic" processor that finds place. It is well hexacore (the Apple A10 is quadcore) and integrates 4.3 billion transistors. The performances of the two powerful cores are improved by 25% compared to the Apple A10, while those of the 4 economic cores increase by 70%.

The GPU also evolves and is announced as designed directly by Apple. It is 30% faster than the Apple 10 while consuming less. The image processing chip was also designed by Appel and promises there also a performance gain of 30% compared to the Apple A10.

The main photo sensor of the iPhone 8 is 12 megapixels with a new module taking advantage of optical stabilization. The iPhone 8 Plus also benefits from a dual 12 megapixel sensor with f / 1.8 (wide angle) and f / 2.8 (telephoto) openings and OIS stabilization.

As expected, the iPhone 8/8 Plus cameras can record video in 4K 60 fps or 1080p 240 fps with a video encoder ... there again directly created by Apple.
