CES 2018: HTC Vive Pro headset goes to OLED in high resolution



This is not exactly a new virtual reality headset that is unveiled by HTC at CES 2018, but the HTC Vive Pro still brings a new immersive experience of quality with a high definition OLED display.


 
The HTC group is now well established in the semi-autonomous virtual reality helmet segment and the CES 2018 in Las Vegas is the opportunity to unveil the HTC Vive Pro, a revision of its standard HTC Vive VR headset that benefits from a lightweight redesign to bring more comfort.

The big news is the integration of two 3.5-inch OLED displays with a higher resolution of 1440 x 1600 pixels, creating a combined display of 2800 x 1600 pixels.



Immersion in the virtual worlds is further enhanced by a 90 Hz refresh of the display and a 110 degree field of view. Chaperone technology, allows you to view the immediate environment with two cameras positioned on the front, without having to remove the headset and HTC has reviewed the layout of the headphones to simplify the placement of the headset.
  

 The HTC Vive Pro has connectivity USB-C 3.0, DisplayPort 1.2 and Bluetooth but it can also happen completely cable with the accessory Vive Wireless Adapter. The price of the new HTC VR headset has not been released yet.
