CES 2018: Lenovo Miix 630, the 2 in 1 computer with Windows 10 S and SnapDragon 835



Next to the Asus NovaGo and the HP Envy x2, a first Windows 10 laptop on ARM / SnapDragon 835 was expected and just announced: the Lenovo Miix 630!




Last December, the group Qualcomm unveiled with its partners the first laptops exploiting the couple Windows 10 on ARM / SnapDragon 835.


Since the SnapDragon Tech Summit in Hawaii, we have been able to introduce you to the Asus NovaGo and HP Envy x2 models, but a third player, Lenovo, was also scheduled to make an announcement at CES 2018 in Las Vegas.

It's done with the Lenovo Miix 630, a 2-in-1 laptop with detachable keyboard that also benefits from the combination of Windows 10 on ARM and SnapDragon 835, allowing it to have a long battery life and 4G LTE Gigabit connectivity.


Like other models, it ships Windows 10 S and will run applications from the Microsoft Store, with the ability to migrate to Windows 10 Pro, and exploits Windows features, including Windows Hello for facial recognition biometry via its infrared camera. The Lenovo Miix 630 is only 15.6 mm thick at 1.33 Kg and promises up to 20 hours of video playback.


We find the principle Always Connected with the ability to view email, notifications and Skype communications standby, saving battery. The keyboard is detachable, the device can turn into a touch pad with display 12.3 inches WUXGA + (1920 x 1200 pixels).

The Lenovo Miix 630 also comes with a pen with 1024 levels of pressure that can work for note taking with Windows Ink. Lenovo announces availability beginning in the second quarter of 2018 for a price starting at $ 799 (including stylus and keyboard).
