Despite its innovations, the HP Sprout series did not necessarily meet its audience, but that does not prevent the manufacturer from declining the know-how in an accessory that will allow to equip any computer with a 3D scanner .

The HP Z 3D Camera resumes the principle of the imposing system positioned above the screen of the HP Sprout computer by miniaturizing it and making it snap-fit.
It is fixed above the screen and also makes it possible to obtain 3D representations of objects by using the Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) principle which makes it possible to create a 3D object in real time and in high resolution.
The scanner can also function as a 2D scanner and process documents for capture and character recognition. The HP Z 3D Camera accessory can be useful for quickly creating objects for virtual, augmented and mixed reality.
To benefit, it will cost $ 599 with availability from March 2018, in the United States to begin.
