Apple A11X: the first Apple SoC engraved in 7 nm in the iPad of 2018?

And if the SoC Apple A11X of the next iPad tablets in 2018 was the first of the brand engraved in 7 nm?

After the Apple A11 Bionic SoC of the iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X in 2017, the Cupertino company will probably offer a SoC Apple A11X in the new generation of iPad tablets expected in 2018.

Already, it is rumored that this development could be the first SoC engraved in 7 nm of the brand, still with the founder TSMC to ensure its production.

Such a chip would obviously offer improvements in performance and power consumption compared to the Apple A10X iPad Pro announced in early summer.

Rumor has it that the Apple A11X SoC is octocore (an atypical configuration 3 powerful Monsoon hearts + 5 Mistral saving hearts is evoked), with a custom GPU, and comes with an M11 coprocessor but also a dedicated chip for artificial intelligence applications NPU (Neural Processing Unit).

TSMC and Samsung have to offer engraving in 7 nm in 2018, but probably at the end of the first half or during the second half of the year.

This suggests a launch of the next generation of iPad tablets at best for the summer of 2018, as was the case for the current generation iPad Pro, or during the second half. To see however if a timing of production will be possible or if Apple will not be forced to stick to a 10-nm engraving.
