Taiwan's U11 HTC smartphones are starting to receive the update to Android 8.0 Oreo. An international deployment should follow in the coming weeks.
The latest evolution of the Android platform was announced during the summer and a little earlier than usual. Quickly, several Android smartphone manufacturers have announced their intention to offer an update before the end of the year for their reference models.

The manufacturer HTC, as a preferred partner of Google in producing the Pixel 2, is among the players who promised a quick update of its flagship smartphone, the HTC U11.
