Nokia 6 (2018): the Android smartphone revisited

HMD Global offers a new version of the Nokia 6 with a more muscular processor and a slightly more compact design but also a little thicker.

The Nokia 6 smartphone was the first model announced in early 2017 by HMD Global exploiting the Nokia brand now affixed to Android mobile devices.

While the range has since expanded (and should continue in the coming weeks or months), it is a new version of the Nokia 6 that has just been unveiled in China.

The Nokia 6 (2018) resumes the 5.5-inch Full HD display of its predecessor and remains on a 16: 9 format, despite rumors of a switch to 18: 9.

Where the Nokia 6 proposed a SnapDragon 430 SoC a bit light for its ambitions, the Nokia 6 (2018) now offers a SoC SnapDragon 630 more in line with its positioning and always accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 32 to 64 GB of storage space (expandable via a microSD card).

With a unibody metal shell, the smartphone is slightly more compact than its predecessor but also a little thinner, with 8.15 mm thick. At the back is a 16 megapixel main photo sensor and at the front an 8 megapixel module for selfies.

Without the Home button or the capacitive keys on the front of his predecessor, his fingerprint reader is deported to the back, under the photo sensor.

The Nokia 6 (2018) has a battery of 3000 mAh with fast charging and offers WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. On the price side, the Nokia 6 (2018) is listed at 1499 yuan (190 €) in 32GB version and 1699 yuan (217 €) in 64GB version.
