Alibaba explodes its sales records in 24 hours

 China's e-commerce giant Alibaba - often referred to as Amazon's China - broke sales records on the occasion of China's November 11 Celebration Day. The group announces $ 25.3 billion in sales in 24 hours (nearly € 21.7 billion), an increase of 39% compared to the 2016 edition.

Nearly 90% of transactions were made via mobile. A peak of 256,000 transactions per second has been reached with the Alipay payment solution. Of the 140,000 brands with promotions, about 60,000 were foreign.
