SpaceX successfully completed its third mission to orbit 10 Iridium Next satellites before recovering the first stage of its Falcon 9 launcher on a barge in the Pacific Ocean.

It has just successfully carried out a new mission consisting of placing 10 small Iridium Next satellites in orbit before retrieving the first stage of its Falcon 9 launcher, gently placed on a barge (named "Just Read The Instructions") in the Pacific , after firing from the Vandenberg military base in California.
This is the third mission of its kind to deploy an Iridium Next constellation, but it is the 14th consecutive successful launch of the Falcon 9 launcher, enabling SpaceX to demonstrate a strong success rate and validate its technologies.

The next SpaceX shooting is already scheduled for next Wednesday, this time from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This new mission will use for the third time a Falcon 9 launcher with a first stage already used in a previous shot.
