Microsoft: No, the Xbox One X was not created to compete with the PS4 Pro

The latter explains that Microsoft did not wait to see Sony release its PlayStation 4 Pro to work on a machine horse between two generations. The Xbox One X would thus not be an answer to the PS4 Pro, but a project that Microsoft was murdering even before Sony unveiled his machine.

Moreover, for Albert Penello, the announcement of Sony concerning the PS4 Pro would have been a surprise. Microsoft teams have been working on the Xbox One X for years, according to him, and that the configuration of the machine would have been locked several years ago, almost at the same time as the release of the Xbox One.

 We can imagine that if Microsoft was working on such a project, the announcement of Sony undoubtedly influenced the development of the Xbox One X.
