Windows 10: Cortana no longer identifies music

Discreetly, the music recognition feature of Cortana in Windows 10 has disappeared.

Through a dedicated button in the form of musical notes, the search with Cortana in Windows 10 is supposed to be able to listen to a music played to identify it. A native ability similar to apps like Shazam that is now lost.

The personal assistant of Windows 10 is indeed no longer able to provide a result, except that the music has not been recognized and the service has been removed.

The explanation for this withdrawal is related to the discontinuation of the Groove Music Pass music streaming service on December 31, 2017. In fact, Cortana - which relied on Groove Music - lost a rather basic ability for a personal assistant .

In the future, however, a return is envisaged, but through partnerships with third-party applications. With the latest build of the preview of Windows 10, users across the Atlantic have also noticed the possibility of integration of Spotify with Cortana.
