Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro: a look of MacBook Pro under Intel Core i7 8th generation

After the Xiaomi Mi Air, the Chinese group announces a new laptop, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, still inspired by Apple models but embedded Intel Core 8th generation processors.

 If the Xiaomi Mi Air was a nice replica to the MacBook Air, the new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is inviting itself on the segment of Apple's MacBook Pro which nevertheless remains the reference to which this new model is compared. With its minimalist design very close, it presents itself as a versatile and powerful machine.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro features a 15.6-inch display protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 glass, and is one of the first models to adopt an Intel Core i7 8th generation processor with a SoC 4-core / 8 threads (one first in Intel Core laptops) that can be clocked up to 4 GHz.

It also features a built-in NVidia GeForce MX150 graphics card and dual-fan cooling system, as well as Dual Channel DDR4 RAM.

In Windows 10, the Xiaomi laptop incorporates a fingerprint reader in the touchpad, compatible with the Windows Hello functionality. Keyboard with big keys for a better comfort, two USB-C ports, 3-in-1 memory card reader and Harman sound system with Dolby Atmos are some of the properties of this new machine whose 60 Wh battery can enjoy a refill (up to 50% in 35 minutes).

Several configurations will be proposed:

•      Intel Core i5 / 8 GB RAM: 5599 yuan (about 716 €)
•      Intel Core i7 / 8 GB RAM: 6399 yuan (about 818 €)
•      Intel Core i7 / 16 GB RAM: 6999 yuan (about 895 €)
