The deployment of Android 8.0 Oreo at the end of August is still all fresh, and even the new smartphones marketed are not yet equipped. So it's not a surprise not to see this milling in the figures of Google made available to developers.

These figures are related to Android devices that visited the Google Play Store over a one week period until September 11th. Always leading with an adoption rate of 32.2%, Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Android Lollipop (Android 5.0 and 5.1) is second with 28.8%, while the last place of the podium is now occupied by Android Nougat (7.0 and 7.1) with 15.8%. Only version with a representativeness in progression, Nougat finally passes before KitKat released almost four years ago.

The Android Gingerbread ancestor continues to resist and still does not disappear from Google Play Store statistics.
