Windows 10 applications: up to 2000 devices allowed?

Did Microsoft decide to explode the limit of authorized devices and in connection with the same Windows Store account? Check your Microsoft account.

If the installation of an application or a game on a Windows 10 device proves impossible, it may be because the maximum number of authorized devices has been reached ... we never know.

This limit applies more precisely to the number of devices linked to a Windows Store account, and thus the number of different devices on which a user can install Windows Store applications.

In the past, the limit has been changed several times. From five devices with Windows 8, it went up to 81 when publishing Windows 8.1, and then was brought down to 10 with the release of Windows 10.

Some users have found that this limit has been increased to 2000 devices. Windows Central was able to verify this. However, this is far from being the case for everyone, so it is not yet clear at this stage whether it is a deployment in progress, a possibility reserved for a few users, or even a bug.

This limit is indicated by visiting your Microsoft Online account and the "Device" tab for managing the maximum number of devices. The direct address is https://account.microsoft.com/devices/content.
