CES 2018: HP Chromebox G2 with configuration up to the Intel Core i7 Kaby Lake!

Chromeboxes, Chrome OS PCs, are still marginal, but that does not prevent HP from renewing its offer for CES 2018 with an HP Chromebox G2 capable of shipping an 8th generation Intel Core processor.

In addition to chromebooks, the chromebox is an alternative solution for a versatile mini-PC. Some manufacturers have proposed different models in recent years but it remained to see the ranges to renew.

It's done at HP with the announcement of Chromebox G2, a new Chrome OS mini PC announced just before CES 2018 in Las Vegas.

Compact (15 x 15 x 4 cm for 670 grams), equipped with HDMI connectivity, USB (1 USB-C, 2 UBS 2.0), Ethernet and a microSD port, it is especially capable of embedding an Intel Core i7 processor of 8th generation.

 Its configuration is based on three possible processors: Intel Celeron 3865U, Intel Core i5-7300U or Intel Core i7-8650U, with the ability to ship up to 16 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of storage SSD M.2.

The price of the HP Chromebox G2 is not yet announced but it should be marketed from April 2018.
