The AV-Comparatives lab publishes its ranking of antivirus solutions against infection vectors of a lambda surfer. A summary over a period of five months.
For its real-world protection test, the independent AV-Comparatives lab publishes the results compiled between July and November.
Twenty security solutions have been tested in an entirely updated Windows 10 64-bit environment, with third-party software also up-to-date. Security solutions have also been updated over the months.

A total of 1,769 live tests consisted of exposure to malicious URLs with drive-by-download exploits (malware infection in a single lookup) and URLs pointing directly to malware.
Over the five-month period, the Panda Free Antivirus solution could be ranked first. She blocked all the malicious samples. Moreover, even if it is not faultless about false positives, its rate is in the top of the basket.
For Bitdefender Internet Security, Tencent PC Manager, Trend Micro Internet Security and F-Secure Safe, a single malicious sample was not blocked.
However, even unlike other solutions that have not blocked more malicious samples, the F-Secure solution is downgraded to the distinctions awarded by AV-Comparatives. This is not the highest due to a particularly high number of false positives, 132 against an average of 18 by all tested solutions.
