Tesla: 400 layoffs in one week

According to information shared by a former employee of Tesla, the automaker would have dismissed 400 people during the past week.

 While Tesla Motors is experiencing some difficulties in achieving a cruising pace in the production of its Model 3, the group would have laid off more than 400 people in a week.

It is a former employee of the group who told the newspaper Mercury News that the manufacturer would have carried out a wave of layoffs. "They are about 400 to be concerned, including team leaders and supervisors, we do not know the exact figures."

The source of the information stated that she worked on an assembly line and was dismissed without having been negatively assessed in the past.

In an official statement, Tesla said that the annual evaluation of his employees had led to departures and promotions, without sharing a precise figure.

Currently, Tesla employs more than 33,000 people. The brand delivered more than 26,000 vehicles in the third quarter including over 14,000 Model S, 11865 Model X and only 220 Model 3 of the initially promised 1500.
