Android 8.0 Oreo can now be tested on OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones via the open beta version now available, pending the finalized version.
While waiting to see the OnePlus 5 switch to Android Oreo, it is the smartphones OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T that can taste the new features of the latest version of Android.
After a closed beta phase, the firmware is now available in open beta and can therefore be downloaded directly after enrollment in the developer program.

Beware, bugs and malfunctions are to be expected for those who would try the adventure of a flash.
For example, the fingerprint reader may be slow, while NFC and Bluetooth connectivity may be unstable. They will disappear in the finalized version which should therefore no longer be available.

It will take 1.4 GB to download the firmware for either smartphone. The Android Authority website recalls that this will be the last major update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T which will arrive at the end of their life cycle after the release of Android Oreo.
The arrival of Oreo on these two smartphones, which are no longer commercialized, also wants to make us forget the failure of the OnePlus 2, for which migration to Android Nougat had a time promised but never materialized.
