HMD Global unveils a new Android smartphone in the mid-range: the Nokia 7 with Carl Zeiss optics.
It is in China that the Finnish firm HMD Global presented its latest Android smartphone called Nokia 7. Rumors and appearances in the certification bodies had begun to identify the features of this intermediate model between the Nokia 6 and 8.
Positioned mid-range, the Nokia 7 offers a 5.2 inch Full HD display on IPS LCD panel, with a slight 2.5D curve and protection by Gorilla Glass reinforced glass.

It features a SoC SnapDragon 630 with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space (eMMC 5.1), with the option of expansion by memory card. The main 16-megapixel photo sensor features a Carl Zeiss optics, with a f / 1.8 aperture, while a 5 megapixel module is available at the front for the selfies.
The smartphone wants to make it possible to realize a new type of shot, the bothie, which combines a simultaneous view of the two photoelectric sensors, for example filming a scene and the reaction of the user. This feature is enabled by Qualcomm's Dual Sight technology within the SnapDragon 630, via its Spectra 160 ISP.
The Nokia 7 uses a 3000 mAh battery with quick charging Quick Charge via the USB-C connector and the smartphone is compatible 4G LTE Cat 6 with speeds up to 300 Mbps in downlink and 50 Mbps in rising speeds. There is also a fingerprint reader on the back.

The Nokia 7, under Android 8.0 Oreo, will be available in China from 24 October for a price of 2499 yuan (319 €) in 4 GB RAM or 2699 yuan (345 €) for the model with 6 GB of RAM, waiting for international availability.
