Google Chrome version 62. What's new?

New stable version for Google Chrome browser. A version 62 that will not mark a major evolution for the end user.

The Google Chrome browser is now available in version 62. In private browsing mode, any HTTP site will have the right to display an alert. This "Unsecure" labeling can be found in normal mode browsing for HTTP sites when entering data in a form. The stigmatization of non-HTTPS sites thus rises a notch.

For developers, Chrome 62 enhances the Network Information API by providing client-side network performance metrics. In addition, it supports OpenType Variable Fonts, and the Media Capture API from DOM Elements allows you to save audio or video clips for broadcast via WebRTC.

Developers can learn about the latest implementations in Chrome by visiting Chrome Platform Status.

Google Chrome 62 also fixes 35 security vulnerabilities. None was rated critical by Google. Remember that at the beginning of the week, Google announced the integration of Chrome Cleanup in Chrome for Windows, and the use of the ESET detection engine to hunt unwanted software.
