As every year, Samsung should offer a reinforced version for outdoor
use of its Galaxy S reference smartphones. The Galaxy S8 Active model
has just made an appearance and confirms the absence of stretched screen
on the slices.
Besides its reference smartphones, Samsung has become accustomed to
offering an outdoor version with a model with much of the features but
with a reinforced shell.
With the Galaxy S8 and S8 +, the group should soon launch a Galaxy S8 Active. But while the reference models both offer a stretched display, attractive but also fragile, it was felt that the variant for outdoor use remains on a standard flat display.
This is what a supposed image of the Galaxy S8 Active appeared in the certification documents of the Wireless Power Consortium, Qi wireless charging promotion group.
The image unveils a smartphone retaining the 18: 9 format of the Galaxy S8 / S8 + but with a flat display with slight side edges. It also features a hull with reinforcements in the corners, allowing it to claim the MIL-STD-810G certification.
On the side of the features, one should find those of the Galaxy S8, with a display around 5.8 inches Super AMOLED and QHD / 2K and an Exynos 8895 or SnapDragon 835 processor, with 4 GB of RAM and probably 64 GB of space Of storage.
It should feature a 12 megapixel photo sensor on the back and an 8 megapixel module at the front. As for the capacity of the battery, it should be at least 3500 mAh, if not more. The Galaxy S8 Active should be presented during the month of June, as every year.
