Samsung Galaxy S8 +: the name of the big smartphone is confirmed

Samsung will launch two variants of the Galaxy S8 again this year, but the large model will abandon the term Edge of previous versions.

 In the past two years, Samsung has launched two variants of its Galaxy S smartphone, one with a flat screen and the other with a display stretched on the slices. This second version was named Edge (Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S7 Edge) qualifying this particular feature.

For the Galaxy S8 this year, the Korean group will launch again two variants but both smartphones will both have a display stretched on the slices. The term "Edge" will therefore be abandoned and the rumor is that the great variant bears the denomination "Galaxy S8 Plus".

This point has just been confirmed by a new leak of @evleaks on Twitter which shows in an image the graphic chosen for its next reference model. It seems therefore that the mention "+" has been retained to constitute a model Galaxy S8 +, which will not fail to recall the range iPhone with its large model iPhone 6 / 6S / 7 Plus declined for several years now.
