After a first presentation in China, the Realme brand is launching its GT 2 series in Europe and is banking on a good technical sheet associated with prices kept quite low compared to the competition.
The manufacturer Realme experienced very strong growth in 2021, which allows it to display solid ambitions to quickly gain market share worldwide, beyond the Chinese and Indian markets which have enabled it to settle in the smartphone market.
After a Realme GT which bet heavily on its low price and which was available in several variants, the new generation GT 2 is attacking the market on several fronts by continuing to bet on a light and efficient design.
The Realme GT 2 Pro offers a 6.7-inch AMOLED QHD+ 3216 x 1440 pixel flat display (AMOLED E4 quality) with LTPO 2.0 technology allowing adaptive refreshment up to 120 Hz and contrast of 5,000,000:1. The Super Reality panel offers a beautiful density of 525 pixels per inch and can manage 1 billion colors, with a brightness of up to 1400 nits, adjustable in 10240 levels.

On board, and this is the first smartphone announced in Europe with this configuration, we will find a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC engraved in 4 nm and equipped with ARMv9 cores with a solid cooling system on a large vapor chamber and 9 layers providing heat dissipation. GT 3.0 mode will occasionally push performance even further and switch to 1000 Hz tactile sampling.
The back of the Realme GT 2 Pro uses a bio-sourced and ISCC+ certified polymer. It offers a textured surface reminiscent of paper and designed with industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa, whose signature is affixed next to the photo block.
The latter includes three modules: a main 50 megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, an ultra wide angle 50 megapixel and a macro sensor. The trick of the Realme GT 2 Pro is to offer an ultra wide angle 150 degrees and a Fisheye mode but also a microscope function providing x20 and x40 magnifications.
Enough to have new ways of seeing the surrounding world differently and expressing your creativity. Realme GT 2 Pro 05
The Realme GT 2 Pro runs Android 12 and features a Realme UI 3.0 overlay offering a lot of customization possibilities and also emphasizing the security of personal data. Finally, it has a 5000 mAh battery with 65W SuperDART fast charging.
For its part, the Realme GT largely resembles the Pro version but with a Snapdragon 888 SoC on board (and GT 3.0 mode). The photo part is simplified with a 50 megapixel Sony IMX766 main sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. We find the same 5000 mAh battery with 65W SuperDART fast charge (full charge in 33 minutes) and the presence of Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 overlay.
The Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro smartphones will be available from March 11 at the following prices:
Realme GT 2: from €549.99
Realme GT 2 Pro: from €749.99
