The LG Electronics brand could announce for MWC 2018 a variant of the LG V30 smartphone with additional features of artificial intelligence.
Despite their qualities, LG Electronics high-end smartphones struggle to find takers, to the point of driving the manufacturer out of the usual pattern of fixed-date ads over the years.
This year, therefore, there should be no announcement of the LG G7, its next reference smartphone, during the MWC 2018 in Barcelona at the end of February.

However, LG Electronics could unveil a variant of the LG V30, its other premium range, with enhanced artificial intelligence functions, says the Korea Herald.
This special model would be called LG V30 + α and add features related to Google Assistant. The arrival of this model would sign LG's new strategy of extending the lifecycle of its smartphones instead of launching new models every six months.
It could also mean that the LG G7 will not be launched for several months, especially since its design would have been taken from scratch, rather than making it an evolution of the LG G6.
