Acer Chromebook Spin 11: the convertible computer and USB-C

Acer announces two new chromebooks, including the Spin 11 convertible model, and a chromebox with Intel Core 8th generation.

The Taiwanese Acer group remains committed to the chromebooks segment and proposes two new models at the beginning of the year. With the success of its convertible machines, the Acer Chromebook Spin 11 is a makeover and diet compared to the protections of the previous version for the education sector.

This new Acer Spin 11 is therefore rather a successor to the Acer Chromebook R11 and offers like him a hinged screen that can rotate 360 degrees to give a tablet format.

Despite its aluminum look, the shell is textured plastic and the Acer Spin 11 offers an Intel Celeron N3450 / N3350 processor or a Pentium N4200 with 4 or 8 GB of RAM and 32 to 64 GB of storage space.

The display is tactile and uses an IPS LCD panel with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and the chromebook comes with a Wacom stylus. It also has the advantage of offering 2 USB-C ports (in USB 3.1) and 2 USB 3.0 ports, as well as a memory card slot.
Its price will start at 349 dollars.

The Acer C732 variant is intended for the education sector with an IP41 reinforced hull and a variable configuration: dual or quadcore processor, touch screen or not, possible presence of a 4G modem ... The offer starts at less than 300 dollars.
Finally, Acer launches a chromebox CX13 in the form of a small box hiding an Intel Core 8th generation processor, a USB-C port, USB ports and HDMI and Ethernet connectivity. Price and availability are not yet known.
