Before the New Year, Apple is reminding developers about the situation of 32-bit applications for Mac.
As of January 2018, all new applications submitted for the Mac App Store will need to be 64-bit. Apple just made this little reminder to developers. It marks the gradual disappearance of 32-bit applications for macOS.
The information had already been mentioned shortly before last summer. Apple specifies that existing applications and updates must be in 64 bits from June 2018.
In addition, Apple "strongly recommends" developers who avoid the Mac App Store to distribute 64-bit applications to "ensure that users can continue to run" on future versions of macOS.
macOS High Sierra is thus presented as the ultimate operating system iteration for Mac to support 32-bit "uncompromising" applications.
