iTunes: the end of music downloads? Apple denies


The end of music download on iTunes will come closer.
Once again, Apple denies insistent rumors.



Rumors are stubborn around the end of the iTunes Store and downloading music. For Digital Music News, Apple already has a plan in place that should result in a complete removal of music downloads from the iTunes Store early 2019.


As part of a transition strategy to the benefit of Apple Music, the firm at the Apple would intend to migrate users with iTunes downloads to a new Apple Music account.

 In other words, a transformation of their catalogs into account for streaming, as far as possible. Users would have a free trial period of three months with Apple Music, but with the ability to always listen to any music purchased in the past.
