iPhone X: TrueDepth camera has hit buyers

The TrueDepth camera on iPhone X provides a variety of features, from Face ID to Augmented Reality. It is a real differentiating element for users.

 Launching a new feature is never easy. Despite all the hopes put into its design and ergonomics, there remains a risk that it is perceived as a useless gadget that will ultimately never be exploited.

By offering a TrueDepth camera capable of analyzing its immediate environment and supporting different possibilities, from facial ID face recognition to animojis (animated emojis) to augmented reality, Apple has tried its luck with the iPhone X and proposed a another authentication method in a mobile universe dominated by the fingerprint reader.

Well took it since, according to a study of the research firm Strategy Analytics, the camera TrueDepth is one of the main elements motivating the positive opinions of the users, in front of the quality of the screen (nevertheless AMOLED and the ratio 18: 9 ) and autonomy.

The TrueDepth camera would perfectly play its role of differentiating element, leading other manufacturers to rush to integrate similar solutions in their next smartphones.

If the presence of Face ID in the iPhone X was a test of the market (hence its absence on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus), we can assume from the returns that the feature will be found on all Apple mobile devices next year, which already suggests the first rumors, especially for future iPad tablets.
