Windows 10 Fall Creators Update: it's October 17th!

Microsoft gives the world availability date of the next major Windows 10 update. It will be on October 17th with also headphones for mixed reality.


 
It will finally be a hair later than we imagined. Microsoft today announced at IFA 2017 the launch date of the next major Windows 10 release. Worldwide availability is by Oct. 17.

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and applications will take advantage of the new Fluent Design design language. Some keys to refresh and modernize the interfaces.

The new Photos application will be particularly spoiled. Artificial Intelligence and deep learning to automatically organize content, edit photos and videos, and add 3D models with Remix 3D and Paint 3D. This is one of the facets of the creative side wanted by Microsoft.


Absent from the Creators Update, the My People feature will be present in the Fall Creators Update to pin favorite contacts on the taskbar and interact through universal Windows applications. 


 It is also the return of the functionality of the placeholders via OneDrive Files On-Demand to allow access to its files from OneDrive, while preserving disk space. The files are visible in Explorer and can be accessed on demand if needed. There is no download of entire files.

 For the use of a stylus, it's time to support PDF documents with Windows Ink, while Smart Ink relies on artificial intelligence to optimize drawn shapes.

In terms of accessibility, the native support of eye tracking technology and the Eye Control functionality will help people with Charcot's disease.




  All this is accompanied by a multitude of improvements for example Cortana, Microsoft Edge browser, security with Windows Defender, game mode (Game Mode) ... In recent days, IFA 2017 mixed reality Windows Mixed Reality that Microsoft puts forward.


The headphones and motion controllers will arrive for some as of October 17 (except Asus), and therefore for the release of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
