The beginning of the week, The Pirate Bay has suffered some slowdowns and even a cut of service due to a peak of frequentation which has led to badly the waiters of the host.
Interestingly, the crash is due to too much traffic to the site, which Torrentfreak explains by the millions of users coming to the site to download the last episode of the 7th season of Game of Thrones.
TorrentFreak explains that the site has thus recorded a visitor increase of around 400%, leading to the slowdown of services until they land.

The craze around the HBO series will have been stronger than the ability of The Pirate Bay to welcome visitors. And the phenomenon has not only focused on The Pirate Bay since the same day, several other platforms of streaming or links Torrents experienced slowdowns and problems of connection.
