Moto G5S and G5S Plus: smartphones with metal shell officially unveiled


Motorola unveiled its new Motorola G5S and G5S Plus smartphones positioned in mid-range and priced at less than € 300.

As anticipated in a roadmap broadcast earlier in the year, the Moto G series is renewed with two new models, the Moto G5S and G5S Plus, positioned in the middle of the range, with a price of less than 300 €.

With the metal design at the rounded corners of the upper series but without the Moto Mods connector, the Moto G5S features a 5.2-inch Full HD display and a SoC SnapDragon 430 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage space.

 The smartphone, featuring Android 7.0 Nougat, features a 3000 mAh battery, a fingerprint reader and a 16 megapixel main sensor with PDAF autofocus, while a 5 megapixel module is present at the front, with the special feature of Propose a flash for selfies in all light conditions.

For its part, the Moto G5S Plus offers a diagonal screen of 5.5 inches, always with a Full HD resolution. It integrates a SoC SnapDragon 625 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.


 Under Android 7.1, it is distinguished by its double photo sensor 13 + 13 megapixels at the back. In front, there is an 8 megapixel module, also with flash, for selfies.

The Moto G5S Plus also offers a 3000 mAh battery with TurboPower quick charge (6 hours of autonomy for 15 minutes of charging) and embeds a fingerprint reader.

Motorola announces availability in August for the Moto G5S and G5S Plus, with prices of € 249 and € 299 respectively.
