The
Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact smartphones are unveiling and confirm
the presence of SoC SnapDragon 835, continuing the line of the Xperia XZ
Premium. They will also be equipped with Android 8.0 Oreo.
The
leakage of the Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact smartphones has increased in
recent days and it is logical that the models were unveiled at a press
conference at the IFA 2017 in Berlin.
Assuming their filiation with the Sony Xperia XZ Premium announced at the beginning of the year but launched at the beginning of the summer, they both offer a SoC SnapDragon 835 and still retain the pure rectangular design clean Xperia.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 is the spearhead and boasts a 19 megapixel camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor and Motion Eye capture technology in super slow motion at 960 frames per second.
Sony adds a
special feature: the 3D Creator system allows 3D capture of objects or
faces and allows to create 3D avatars or virtual objects that can be
used in animations and videos.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 is only 7.1 mm thick (waterproof IP65 / 68 shell) and offers a 5.2 inch Full HDR display. To accompany its SoC SnapDragon 835, it boasts 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space, expandable by microSD card.

It also offers high quality sound and its 2700 mAh battery enjoys a fast charging via USB-C connectors. The Sony Xperia XZ1 is expected early October for a price of 699 €.
The other model announced is the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact which also boasts a SoC SnapDragon 835 with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage memory but it offers a 4.6-inch HD display, while maintaining the same Sony 19 megapixel sensor and a 2700 mAh battery with fast charging.
However, this reinforced compactness is at the expense of the thickness which increases to 9.3 mm. It will be interesting to discover the performance of this model in this unprecedented combination of a powerful processor with a display in HD resolution. The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact will be available from October for a price of 599 €.
