Game of Thrones: episode 4 of Season 7 online leak before its release

Oops, Episode 4 of Season 7 of Games of Thrones leaked online before its release. Data piracy at HBO could be the cause.

 A piracy of the HBO servers allowed individuals to recover 1.5TB of various data, leading to the release of episodes of the Ballers, Room 104 and Insecure series before their official release.

Among the retrieved documents, there was also a script from episode 4 of Season 7 of the cult series Game of Thrones. The studio attempted to minimize the consequences of this intrusion but, chance or coincidence, the episode in question was found online, again before its official release.

The Verge site indicates that the episode is accessible from a Google Drive link that appeared in the Reddit forums and is authentic, albeit in low quality. It includes the watermark "for internal viewing only".

Difficult for the time to say whether it comes from hacking servers or from another source. It was not the first time episodes of the series were on the Web before they were broadcast: The first four episodes of Season 5 had thus fled in 2015, while an episode of Season 6 had aired Day too early.
