While Apple is supposed to have reduced the production of its iPhone X, Samsung would end up with loads of OLED displays for which we will have to find new customers.
The very expensive OLED screens ($ 120 to $ 130 each, against about $ 50 for an LCD display) would not interest so much the Cupertino company, which is not going to do the business of Samsung, already facing the rise of the production of Chinese OLED displays.

The Japanese publication suggests that Apple should halve its production of iPhone X during the current quarter, leaving Samsung with its screen inventory. It remains to be seen if other manufacturers can take over, which may not be done before the second half and new batches of smartphones.
It's also not good news for the future as it whispers that LG Display would be the provider of the OLED display 6.5 inches of the big iPhone model later in the year, while the other two models planned would remain on an LCD screen technology.
