Google has announced the integration of an artificial intelligence module in its Flights service. The purpose of the operation is to allow the service to predict flight delays.
Google Flights is an application that offers travelers to get a set of information on flights. And the Net giant wants to refine its service by going beyond the information provided by airlines, thanks to the power of machine learning and Big data.

By retrieving billions of real-time data shared over the Internet by as many users, as well as public information such as weather or information, Google Flights is able to warn when the probability of a flight delay reaches 80%. Advertisements are made even before airlines officially do so.

Of course, the information remains to be taken with care, no way to delay his departure on such predictions, but the application will probably reassure the most worried. Note that to date the feature is only deployed in the USA.
