iPhone X: Samsung's Golden Egg Hen in 2018

The iPhone X should make the heyday of Apple in the year 2018, but probably more on the side of Samsung.

For its iPhone X, Apple has bet big and turned to Samsung for the design of a rather complex OLED screen. The edge-to-edge display is particularly difficult to produce, and only Samsung is currently able to do it on behalf of Apple, which is the happiness of the South Korean brand.

And since the iPhone X seems to find a buyer despite its high price, Samsung can already rub his hands for the coming year.

According to The Investor, Samsung is expected to provide between 180 and 200 million OLED screens to Apple in 2018. Each screen being billed $ 110 to Apple, Samsung could generate between $ 19 and $ 22 billion in revenue from nothing this partnership.

Samsung has refined its manufacturing processes and would be able to produce 224 million 6-inch OLED screens over the year. Taking into account other customers and OLED screens to produce for its own devices, Samsung Display is expected to generate record profits in 2018.
