Galaxy S9: towards a launch on February 26, for the MWC 2018?

The Galaxy S9 and S9 + smartphones are expected to be launched this year during the MWC 2018 show in Barcelona on February 26th.

In 2017, the Galaxy S8 was announced later than usual, not showing up on the MWC 2017 Barcelona show to favor a dedicated event in March in New York.

Several reasons for this: the fiasco of the Galaxy Note 7 which forced to review the procedures concerning the batteries but also a late availability of SoC Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 engraved for the first time in 10 nm FinFET.

In 2018, Samsung should resume a more usual schedule and take advantage of the visibility provided by MWC to present its new reference models.

According to the Korean publication The Bell, the Galaxy S9 and S9 + will be unveiled on February 26, during MWC 2018 in Barcelona (February 26 to March 1, 2018). We will remain cautious on this date, the big announcements of the manufacturers being done on the eve of the opening of the show, on Sunday, February 25 next year.
