Galaxy S9: still no double photo sensor

Samsung's next high-end smartphone, the Galaxy S9, is already leaked.

While the Galaxy S8 was released just a few months ago, Samsung's next high-end terminal, the S9 is already talking a lot about it. And for good reason, between rumors and leaks, many expect to see him appear at the CES show in Las Vegas next January.

Two recent leaks going in the same direction already announce that the terminal will still not rely on a dual photo sensor. Samsung does not seem convinced by this trend. It must be said that depending on the terminals, the results are more or less there, and that the terminals of South Korea do not necessarily need a double sensor to get out in photo.

A partial photograph of the back of the smartphone spotted by AndroidHeadlines and shows a simple sensor with a fingerprint reader just positioned below when it was usually placed next to the sensor, a choice so far criticized by users for its lack of practicality.

This new provision is confirmed by Key for Web which presents a user guide of Samsung's S Health application for calculating the user's heart rate and which presents a configuration in which the owner of the smartphone is invited to place his finger on the fingerprint sensor located in the center of the back of the device. It remains to be seen whether the S9 will indeed be presented at the CES. Samsung has always favored specific events and it still seems a little early to formalize a successor to the S8.
