The milestone of 3 billion URLs to dereference by the Google search engine has been crossed. A counter that has been running since 2011.

Spotted this week by TorrentFreak in Google's transparency report, a huge jump for URL requests to remove for infringement of copyright ... more than 3 billion.
In other words, the search engine was asked to forget more than 3 billion links considered hackers. It's a counter that has been running for six years and is now growing fast. A steady pace of almost 3 million requests a day.
For the vast majority of cases (more than 90%), Google responds and proceeds to dereferences. However, one can legitimately doubt the effectiveness of such measures. A link removed by Google does not disappear and can be found elsewhere.

The podium of the sites most concerned by this phenomenon of amplitude consists of 4shared.com, mp3toys.xyz and rapidgator.net. The second place of mp3toys.xyz will not last very long unless there is a serious bug in the process. The site no longer exists.
