This OLED display, the Cupertino firm has paid dearly to the main global supplier in this matter, namely the Samsung group which is also its main competitor in the segment of smartphones and has just launched its smartphone reference Galaxy Note 8 .. to 1000 € also.

 And if Apple offers it from $ 1,000 / € 1159, it's also that the cost of this display would reach the $ 120 to $ 130 piece, instead of about $ 50 to $ 55 for standard iPhone LCD displays.

Samsung also charges its ability to be the only one able to provide the millions of high quality OLED mobile displays needed for the production of the iPhone X.

 If the model succeeds, the Korean giant could gain solid profits before the competition can begin to align. LG Display, with whom Apple is in negotiations, could enter the loop of OLED display suppliers by 2019, as well as Japan Display or the Foxconn / Sharp pair.

Analysts note that Samsung should make more profits with its components, such as mobile screens and memory chips, than with the sale of its smartphones.
