After the fiasco of the Galaxy Note 7 in 2016, Samsung has maintained the Galaxy Note series by unveiling a Galaxy Note 8 model equipped with the best mobile technology and offered at a very high-end price, at more than 1000 €.

This does not prevent it from achieving an impressive record of nearly 400,000 bookings from the first day of opening pre-orders in South Korea on its domestic market.

The result is all the more remarkable as the Galaxy Note 7 had taken 13 days to reach a volume of 385,000 pre-orders last year.

It's not far from the 550,000 pre-orders that had been recorded in two days for the Galaxy S8 smartphone earlier this year.

The Galaxy Note 8 with a 64GB storage capacity would represent 65% of Korean pre-orders, according to the Korea Herald, and observers expect the smartphone to pass the million-book mark within eight days of the preorder, prior to marketing on 21 September.
