Samsung Galaxy X: Foldable smartphone may receive Bluetooth certification

Samsung's first Galaxy X foldable smartphone has just gone through Bluetooth certification, suggesting a close announcement.

After Samsung Galaxy Round smartphones and smartphones with stretched display (Galaxy S and Note), the Korean group will move on to the next step: a smartphone with a display that can be folded.

This model, which has been in preparation for several years under the code name Valley, could give a Galaxy X commercial model. It may be it that appeared under SM-G888N0 in the Bluetooth SIG certification documents, Indicates the SamMobile site.

This same reference has already appeared in the certification documents for its WiFi connectivity a few months ago. In this case, the documents indicate that the mobile device will have Bluetooth 4.2 wireless connectivity, which may seem surprising at a time when the Galaxy S8 / S8 + and the future Galaxy Note 8 offer Bluetooth 5.

The Samsung Galaxy X could be introduced in early 2018 (even if economic considerations could push it back to 2019), paving the way for a first example of smartphone that can be used in a compact or extended configuration, with a separate display diagonal .

But the competition should not take long to propose its own solutions, as demonstrated by prototype demonstrations at Lenovo in recent days.
