The little riddle of Google France last Friday concerned the arrival on the French market of the router Google WiFi, a device announced in the United States at the end of 2016 and which aims to offer greater modularity to manage its WiFi network to better cover all The rooms of the house.
Google is making the modular aspect easier by allowing for easy interconnection of multiple WiFi (mesh network) access points that will work in a harmonized way as a single network, thus extending WiFi coverage very easily.
The device remains compatible with the operator box providing access to the Internet and ensures rates compatible with streaming 4K or HD video game. Access points are managed from a Mobile Assist (Android or iOS) mobile application on a smartphone or tablet that will allow you to manage the connection of children or guests even remotely.
The WiFi router uses WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac in 2.4 and 5 GHz bands with MIMO 2X2 and WPA2-PSK management. It includes two Ethernet Gigabit port.
The Google WiFi system is now available online on the Google Store and soon in major retailers at a price of € 139 for an access point and € 249 for two WiFi access points.
