Samsung has launched a new version of Bixby, its virtual assistant doped with artificial intelligence. The firm has been working for several years on its software which has been put forward as a selling point for the Galaxy S8 and Note 8.

Speech recognition has also progressed and Bixby should better understand the user's demands while providing a more natural conversation.

But what has changed especially in this new version is the ability of Bixby to interact with more and more elements, including the connected equipment of the home. Without giving more details in his presentation in San Francisco this week, Samsung said it will be a question of taking charge of some of the home automation. Bixby will also be integrated into the brand's TVs in the coming months.
Finally, a development kit will also be available shortly to the attention of developers to make their software or accessories compatible with the assistant.
