Google Maps explores planets and moons



Like Google Earth, Google Maps also leaves the Earth to discover some planets of the solar system and several natural satellites.


 Based on an imagery of the American and European space agencies (NASA and ESA), Google Maps adds exploration of some of the planets and moons of our solar system. An exploration via a Space or Planets section of Google Maps.

Besides the Earth, Mercury, Venus, Mars and, in addition, the dwarf planets Pluto and Ceres. For the rest, it's ... lunar. There are three Galilean moons of Jupiter (Io, Europe, Ganymede), the natural satellites Mimas, Enceladus, Dione, Rhea, Titan and Saturn's Iapetus.



  
Just zoom in on the stellar journey. The Planets section also offers direct access to the 360-degree view in Google Street View of the International Space Station (ISS), which was launched this summer.

The 360 ° panoramic imagery of the ISS was realized thanks to a digitization by the French spationaut Thomas Pesquet during his stay in space.
