smartphones Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will not finally offer a new SoC
SnapDragon 836 but rather a SnapDragon 835 with a slightly higher rate.
Google's Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones are not expected to offer a new SoC
SnapDragon 836 that is supposed to match a slight evolution of the
current SnapDragon 835.
In spite of the rumors evoking the existence of this variant (still not announced and of which there are no traces), it will always a priori always a SoC SnapDragon 835, perhaps in a version clocked 2.5 GHz instead of 2.3 GHz, suggests the Android Police site.
At XDA Developers, it is assured from a reliable source that the SnapDragon 836 simply does not exist, without completely disregarding the hypothesis of a new SnapDragon platform announced soon.
It is indeed with a SoC SnapDragon 835 that the Pixel 2 has passed the certifications of the FCC (Federal Commmunications Commission), according to documents released a few weeks ago.
